2006 年眼看將近尾聲﹐就在以為好音樂是瀕臨絕種的動物的時候﹐我聽到了 The Fray 的 "How to save a life"。
第一次聽到 The Fray 的音樂是今年八月在澳洲參加國際會議的時候。一個人逛著布理斯本國際影展﹐看了兩部獨立製片的電影。走在南半球的陌生城市裡﹐CD 店裡傳來的正是 The Fray 的 Over My Head。Over My Head 不是那種令人驚艷的歌曲﹐主唱的歌聲卻能慢慢的滲入人心﹐然後你整天的腦海裡會一直重複這首歌的旋律﹐忘記了自己身在何處。
忘了我之前對搖滾樂的定義吧。
The Fray 的音樂是流行音樂還是搖滾樂其實不重要。
能揪住你的心的音樂﹐就是值得珍藏的聲音。
