朝不對的樹狂吠

Barking up the wrong tree ...

朝錯誤的目標前進﹐是不是比原地打轉還糟糕呢？

記得有一次我自己發明了一句 "Catching the wrong fish"﹐用來比喻我對自己論文的題目方向的擔憂﹐結果指導老師笑了一笑說﹐"Barking up the wrong tree"才對啦 -- 當場眼前一隻烏鴉給他飛過去﹐不禁佩服自己在外國人面前瞎掰英文成語的厚臉皮。

這一陣子﹐感覺上研究工作的瓶頸又像週期性的症狀﹐隱隱的浮現在四周的角落裡﹐那種擔憂"朝不對的樹狂吠"的心情﹐整天都覺得不對勁﹐連做夢都會想到白天跟別人討論的實驗﹐著實讓這幾天睡眠品質變得超差﹐很少凌晨四點以前上床。
